Biosecurity for People, Supply, and Equipment Entry to Livestock Production Systems (1 Hr CE)
In this course, we think about how people, tools, supplies, and equipment coming into a farm pose a potential risk for pathogen introduction. All of these things are part of daily operations, so it is important to understand where they are coming from, what they're going to be used for, and if and how we can decontaminate them.
Understanding the pathogens concerned with different vectors of transmission, how to decontaminate them, and what to do with different types of equipment that might be more expensive or difficult to decontaminate is a key part of building an effective biosecurity plan.
